This eye appealing cast iron trivet sports the popular military and patriotic motif of crossed cannon, stacked projectiles, crossed swords and U. S. shield as is most often seen on items of the Grand Army of the Republic Civil War veteran organization. Measuring just over 8" in length and 4" wide, the heavy sand cast iron trivet dates from the late 19th through the turn of the century and remains in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs and much of it’s original black enamel finish. The decorative country kitchen utility of days gone by will go well in a number of collecting categories. please note: ALL ITEMS ARE CURRENT & AVAILABLE UNLESS MARKED SOLD!!.
